Interested in submitting cds for
airplay?
Here are some handy tips which may
help you through
the process.
Please
note: If you would like your CD to be considered for
airplay, please send it directly to CFBU rather than to the DJ. This
is for both your protection and ours. It ensures that your CD will
remain at the station if the DJ chooses to discontinue their show.
(DJs are not authorized to
solicit material directly from
labels.)
**Tracking
inquires are answered via email at
md(at)cfbu.ca.
Contacting
DJs: Individual DJ e-mail addresses can be found in the show descriptions.
Formats:
We prefer
hard copies in cd format.
If you are new to the business, please ensure your cd
submissions
include the following:
- a one page bio (no need to send those glossy photos..)
- a complete track listing (with track lengths)
- complete composer information for all tracks (who wrote the music
and/or lyrics).
To save on shipping costs if you are unsure of whether your
material fits our format, feel free to send us a link
to
any online tracks.
We do not accept mp3 files sent via email.
**All digital submissions in MP3 format must include complete composer information in the ID3 tag.***
